Bonita's Bio

Bonita is committed to cultivating the potential in every girl she coaches. She believes in empowering young women with the skills needed to succeed both on and off the field. Coach Bo's main areas of focus are proper fundamentals, footwork, and maintaining a positive training atmosphere. Her personal coaching philosophy is "we play free". Every girl is free to fail, free to try new things, free to succeed, and free to be the best version of herself.

Coach Bo has played softball since she was twelve years old and has played pitcher, center fielder and middle infielder. After high school, she played for Simpson University. She has also umpired over 2500 games. She is raising three teenagers, all three whom are involved in athletics. Her diverse background gives her a unique perspective on training.

Her professional accomplishments include playing and training in Australia. As a team co-captain she was second in the league for RBI’s and on base percentage. Bonita was selected as the first female to umpire the plate at the USSSA Men’s World Series in Orlando Florida, in 2011. Bonita gives back to the community by volunteering her time coaching inner city high school Girls’ Softball and Basketball.

Bonita's has 11 years coaching experience. Her travel ball experience includes Western Washington Elite 10, 12 and 14U. Team Seattle Panthers 16U and assistant to the 18 Gold team, she is currently coaching Caligold Fastpitch 14U and assisting with Caligold 12U.
